This review is long over due, I've been here a handful of times I've the past few years. One of my go-to fancy spots for anniversaries or celebrations. Located in the Disney hotel property this restaurant has an upper end steakhouse vibe to it. Make reservations ahead of your desired date. I typically ask for recommendations on what to order from the waiter. Each time they suggest a new appetizer or plate that I fall in love with. One time they had a secret chef menu and we ordered flash fried spinach it was amazing and unlike anything I've ever experienced. I did have a few times with over cooked steak or lacking flavor but they give you bone marrow which I tend to just smother on it to mask any deficiencies. But more often than not I'm satisfied with their food and service. My first few visits would easily have been 5 stars but over the course of years I've had a few mediocre experiences which has averaged out to a 4 star. Hoping to return to this place after COVID to up my review and report back to you all faithfully. Stay tuned! But for now it looks like they are closed :(

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and the experience was so wonderful! We ordered the 8 oz filet mignon, 12 oz ribeye, and shared their seasonal root vegetable risotto topped with a poached egg. Both steaks were seared to perfection, but, to be honest, the star of the dinner was the risotto. This establishment should be called Risotto-house 55 because it was that delicious. Service was excellent. Our server was very attentive to our needs throughout the night, shared history about the restaurant, and even "de-crumbed" our table from the bread we had so that we could take photos of our food! When making dining reservations through the Disneyland website, you are given the option to purchase a small celebratory cake for $45 each. I didn't opt to purchase a cake when making the reservation, and I'm so glad that I didn't. At the dinner itself, our host inquired about our anniversary and our server eventually brought out the same cake that I saw online... but it was totally complimentary. Not only that, we also received the cutest chocolate-covered strawberries (complimentary as well)! Without any hesitation, I would return to Steakhouse 55 for future celebrations!

Listen up Disneyland foodies! If you want a fine dining, upscale restaurant in the Disneyland area, there are only three places to consider: 1. Club 33 2. Steakhouse 55 3. Napa Rose Well, the first one is out of the question for most as you have to be a club member. But you have Club 33 Chefs that have moved over to Napa Rose or Steakhouse 55. I love Steakhouse 55 as its decor is a old school restaurant the way Walt Disney liked it with all black and white photos of Walt Disney and his friends. The food is amazing! I didn't think anything would be as good as Napa Rose. But I honestly love this place just as much! We came here for breakfast for the first time as we wanted to celebrate our anniversary. The food and service was good as usual and the price was reasonable for a place like this! It's perfect to celebrate any occasion. Apparently the "Stuffed Brioche" is the thing to order here which I totally missed out as I was trying to eat low carb. I took a picture of it so you can consider ordering to change things up from your usual omelette. The steaks here are AMAZING!! I will need to come back for dinner to show how this place is up there with Club 33 and Napa Rose.

Celebrated my 30th with my boyfriend for dinner and it was delicious! We had reservations for 7pm but decided to see if we could get in earlier because Disneyland was SOOO packed that day that we weren't able to get on any rides. Service was great from the beginning when we checked in to when interacted without our server for dinner. My boyfriend ordered the Prime Rib and I ordered the New York Strip. I've had Prime Rib at other steak houses and have never found one that I thoroughly enjoyed. Omg I could not stop stealing bites off my boyfriend's plate. I looovvvveedddd my New York Strip as well, cooked and seasoned PERFECTLY. We also shared a side of mashed potatoes that was really tasty. Also received a little treat for dessert for my birthday. No lie, I really wanted the 24 layer cake to compare to Mastro's Chocolate Cake but we were so surprised by the portions of our dishes that there wasn't any room! But trust me, I will be back for that cake! As far as price point, I'm so surprised that it isn't a lot higher because: 1) it is a steakhouse - $$$$ 2) it's Disney - $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ My boyfriend's birthday is actually a couple of days ahead of mine and I took him to a steakhouse in LA and paid DOUBLE! We ordered the same thing there too - 2 entrée + 1 side + 2 free waters = $$$$$$$$$$$$. Tip: Use your annual pass for a discount!
